What we do
Braver Angels events are designed to build the skills and relationships that help participants learn to respect others who do not share their beliefs, rebuilding our community and our friendships as we bridge our political divide.
Braver Angels Workshops
Workshops provide powerful skills to engage in difficult conversations without rancor. Sample quotes from recent workshops:
"We need to model civil discourse in our daily lives for our children and grandchildren."
"Listen, Acknowledge, Pivot and Perspective is very powerful."
Braver Angels Workshops are facilitated by Moderators who have specifically trained in helping people learn how to set aside preconceptions about each other and have civil conversations with others.
Discussion Groups
Discussion groups are a chance to engage with others to talk about difficult subjects with honesty and respect for one another. These are opportunities to put into action the skills learned in Braver Angels workshops and understand common values and concerns.
Discussion groups are led by Braver Angels members who are experienced in facilitating small groups.
Social Activities
Social activities are a chance to get to know each other in an informal environment. These are a foundation to building trust among ourselves.
"It's hard to hate someone you know personally."
Bring Braver Angels to your community
Partner with Braver Angels to bring workshops and discussion groups to your community.
